To start with; I would like
to say “Youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the partners of
today”.

I grew up 1000 kilometers
away from Ulaanbaatar. When I entered into university, I realized that there
was a big difference among youths, especially the youth who grew up or studied
in the countryside. Every time I moved
forward, I felt that I had been wrong at high school. My eyes had been closed.
I believed that studying hard, getting good grades and achieving my goals were
the most important thing at school however, I founded a club, called Smile,
which used to organize inter school competitions and other volunteer activities.
I had been locked in one circle. I had never thought about the right or the
power of influence.
I had been wrong.
Absolutely, I had been wrong. But now I believe that youth
is the spring of life. It is the age of discovery and dreams. We have the power to
transform the nation into a better place. We
also have the ability to lead our
fellow citizens into the right direction. We are problem solvers, have a
positive influence on other young people and the nation, and are extremely
ambitious. We have different attitude
toward things, politics, solving problems and making decisions because of our
fresh and “hungry” eyes. We have the ability to create an identity for ourselves and move the nation forward.
After realizing that, I irrevocably
decided to work for the children and youth development, especially the self development
of youth who are not only from rural area but also from urban area, who have
not opened their eyes yet like me, who have not found themselves yet, who have
not defined their goals and who are still struggling. I want our generation to
know that how powerful their voice is and how intellectual they are.
That’s why now I am working at ...... as ........ As working at development focused
organization, my everyday responsibility is focused on child and youth well-being,
development and protection.
Last November, fortunately, I
received an appointment to work at ..... in ...... province for 2
months. While working with children and young in the countryside, I gained many
new experiences about youth, their problems, thought and attitude. However, in our
society, not everybody have equal opportunity and financial ability to develop
themselves, gain knowledge, meet new people, refresh their idea or learn new
things, it was so regrettable that most students were following the already
drawn path with closed eyes.
According to the official’s
report, 1 out of 5 people are youth who are between 15 to 24 years old in
Mongolia. As majority of the total population, the government, other government
or non government organizations absolutely need the voice of youth. Unfortunately,
major of them are going without any direction. It has many negative influences
to allow them to remain idle.
Now I am working at .... as a ...... According to the contract, in 2 months I will be the real
staff of ...... I want to continue contributing my effort on youth development.
I want to help the young generation to open their eyes wider and turn up their
voice. I want the youth not to have wrong attitude or thought like I was, and
not to follow the path. Therefore I am applying for .......
In the end, I want to say
again that youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the partners of
today. I believe that without partnering today, we guys can not be the leaders
of tomorrow and cannot build better future.
